Pyramid Head - Executioner by FilthHammer Pyramid Head - Executioner by FilthHammer
This is the bonus picture that I promised, for missing the deadline in my series.

In the end, this took me longer than the painting I was supposed to be doing. Much of the time was spent in the black ink.

Some of my Watchers are Silent Hill and Pyramid Head fans. I personally adore the character concept for this monster. Always been my favorite in the series.

This is for you guys.

I'm quite proud of this one.

Though his shape is very angular and sharp, you've somehow managed to make him seem almost liquid inside...very fluid with your shading and choice of color.

I truly have enjoyed the Silent Hill series, and Pyramid Head is definitely one of my faves.

Thanks. I wanted to portray him in a different style than one might normally.

Thanks! Ha ha.

I was inspired to dig out my staetdler pens and take them for a whirl.
The chalk coloring came about as an impulsive accident.

I used a chalk pastel, and colored in the darkest areas, intending to leave the lighter parts white, but when I went to blow the dust off it gathered on the white sections.

Which is where I got my idea. I used a dry makeup brush to feather the dust onto the white areas, creating the highlights.

The textures here are really great. The Lines are crisp without seeming unnatural, or at least overbearingly so.

And, of course, your shading is wonderful.
